They can also do other stuff that the platform does not natively support. Like the ability to play music over voice chat. If you’re new to music bots or looking for a new one, we’ve got you covered. Playlist creation is also available here so you can play songs continuously without any pause in between. It’s a secure open-source bot, but it felt a little too simple for my taste. 4. Kenku FM
Kenku FM isn’t a bot but a separate app itself. Unlike other bots, it doesn’t support any streaming services because it’s more of an audio-sharing platform. However, you can use its browser-like interface to search for the song and play it from there. It also includes Steam Deck support.
But unlike other bots, adding Kenku FM to your server requires you to have a Discord Developer Profile. This is a bit complicated and tedious process compared to other bots in this list which can be a turn down for a lot of users.Pros Cons Allows playback of local files. I personally happen to use Matchbox in my server so take my word for it when I say that it is a pretty good choice. It supports streaming platforms like YouTube, Spotify, Deezer, SoundCloud, and more. Other features include playlist creation, audio filters, and 24/7 support.
There are buttons to control playback like Uzox. However, features like unlimited YouTube and Spotify links, 24/7 playback, and unlimited queue length are exclusive to premium membership. Rhythm is unique as you can bring it up as an activity and use its Spotify-like interface to browse through songs. It doesn’t support any music streaming service, instead compensates artists per stream. It can queue, loop, and shuffle songs for you. Plus the selection of songs is also pretty good.
But you will have to pay the premium to select which song you want to play. Else you can only use their radio for free with no control over song playback. The reason for this is that it can play XHD (extra HD) and Hi-Fi music, making it perfect for music junkies like me. It offers features like searching for songs, adding them to thequeue, creating playlists, and more.
Despite not mainly being a music bot, it offers on screen controls to manage playback. So if you love to Hi-Fi music, and you’re looking for Discord music bot to handle that, definitely check out Zandercraft.

Named after a character from Adventure Time, BMO is a multi utility bot just like Zandercraft. It supports games, utilities, image alterations, but for our purpose we’ll focus on the music part. BMO can play music in high quality, and queue them as well. It works quite well, however, on one hand it’s pretty basic and on the other using it can be a headache.
I tried for an hour to bring up the bot in the voice channel, and after much research found out it uses custom “./” commands. You won’t see a list of commands pop-up, instead have to type them out to use BMO. This can make it annoying for users who are looking for a hassle free bot.Pros Cons Multi utility Discord bot. It gives you music playback controls, create and play from your playlists, multiple language support, a web player, and many more. Plus, its free to use so you don’t have to worry about certain features being locked behind a paywall. If you are a regular SoundCloud listener then its an obvious choice.
